Dillon Jones had a career-high 30 points and Alex Tew had a career-high 16 points.

MISSOULA, Mont. - Two Wildcats had career-highs but it wasn't enough as Montana beat the Wildcats 77-62 Monday night at Dahlberg Arena in Missoula.

Dillon Jones and Alex Tew each had career-highs as Jones finished with 30 points and Tew had 16. The two players combined for 46 of Weber State's 62 points.

But it was Montana who shot 55 percent from the field and held the Wildcats to 39 percent shooting. Montana also made seven 3-pointers, compared to just four for the Wildcats, the second-fewest in a game this season. WSU was 4 of 20 from 3-point range and the Grizzlies also won the rebounding battle 33-27.

Weber State jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead but Montana went on a 10-0 run and led 14-4. The 'Cats tied the game twice in the first half after shots by Jones but Montana closed the first half on a 9-4 run in the final four minutes and led 36-30 at halftime.

The Grizzlies outscored the Wildcats 11-2 in the first five minutes of the second half and led by 15 points. Weber State was never closer than nine points the rest of the way.

Jones was 8 of 18 from the field and made two 3-pointers. He was also 12 of 14 from the free throw line for his career-best 30 points. He also grabbed seven rebounds and had three assists and three steals.

Jones also became the ninth player in Weber State history to surpass 1,500 career points.

Tew was 8 of 11 from the field for his career-high 16 points. He also added six rebounds. Tew has scored in double figures in three of the last five games for the 'Cats.

Dyson Koehler added 11 points for the Wildcats.

Both games between the two teams have been big large margins. Weber State beat the Grizzlies 93-63 in the Big Sky opener in Ogden on December 28.

Weber State is now 12-8 overall and 3-4 in Big Sky play. After playing three games in the last five days, the 'Cats will get a little break and be off until Saturday night when they host Idaho State at the Dee Events Center.
