'Cats fall 2-1 to Eastern Washington

Wildcat soccer recorded a 2-1 loss against the Eastern Washington Eagles on October 20. The 'Cats fall to 2-11-5 on the year.
Sammie Sofonia found the back of the net early in the first half off an assist from Brynlee Meyerhoffer around the 10 minute mark, giving the 'Cats an early lead.
The Eagles responded with a goal of their own when Charity Freeman scored off of a second chance at the 20 minute mark.
Neither team was able to find another scoring opportunity in the first half and went into halftime with a 1-1 tie.
The Eagles started off the second half with three back-to-back corner kicks but the 'Cats were able to hold them off.
Chloe Pattison scored early in the second half giving the Eagles the lead.
The 'Cats recorded eight shots with three being on goal. Ali Swensen led the squad with three shots with one being on target, Grace Kirby-Hortin recorded two shots with one on target and Sammie Sofonia, Mina Nydegger and Jenna Nichols each recorded one shot.
Hadley Harris recorded seven saves.
The Wildcats will be back at home on October 25 to host the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks at 7 pm MT.
