'Cats record 1-1 draw against Portland State

Wildcat Soccer recorded a 1-1 draw against the Portland State Vikings on October 4. The 'Cats sit at 1-8-5 on the season.

Brynlee Meyerhoffer recorded the 'Cats lone goal early in the first half at 1:28. Meyerhoffer scored the header off of an assist from Mikayla Topaum.

The 'Cats held on to the lead for the remainder of the first but the Vikings found the back of the net early in the second half.

Maya Cordova was the 'keeper for the 'Cats and recorded 11 saves over 90 minutes.

Three different 'Cats recorded eight shots with five being on target. Ali Swensen led the squad with four shots with half of them on target, Meyerhoffer and Sayler Schlosser each recorded two shots. Both of Schlossers' were on target and Meyerhoffer recorded one shot on target.

The Vikings produced nine corner kicks but weren't able to capitalize off of them.

The 'Cats will stay on the road and head to California to take on Sacramento State on October 6 at 2 pm MT. The match will be streamed on ESPN+.
