Wildcats head to Sac State to wrap up road series

Wildcat soccer is on the second leg of their road trip out West and are set to take on the Sacramento State Hornets on October 6 at 2 pm MT. The 'Cats are coming off of a 1-1 draw against Portland State and sit at 1-8-5 on the season.

The Hornets most recently recorded a 4-1 victory against Idaho State and are 3-6-3 on the year. Most of their success has been at home with a 3-0-2 record.

Brynlee Meyerhoffer scored the Wildcats goal off of an assist from Mikayla Topaum against the Viks' and is now the sixth Wildcat to record a goal on the season. Ali Swensen leads the squad with five goals, Sayler Schlosser, Lily Blum and Amanda Caswell each have two goals and Meyerhoffer joins Sammie Sofonia with one goal.

Time in goal has primarily been split between Maya Cordova and Hadley Harris. Cordova was the 'keeper against PSU and recorded 11 saves.

The 'Cats hold the all-time record against the Hornets at 16-10-5 and are most recently coming off of a 0-0 draw in 2023 at Wildcat Soccer Field.

The match will be streamed on ESPN+.

Following their trip to California, the 'Cats will be back at home to take on Idaho State on October 13 at 2 pm.
