Men’s Tennis Set to Open Big Sky Tournament Against Bobcats

Phoenix, AZ — The Weber State Men's Tennis team is set to take on the Montana State Bobcats in the opening round of the Big Sky Men's Tennis Tournament on Thursday at the Phoenix Tennis Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
The Wildcats come into the tournament as the number four seed after finishing the regular season with a 9-12 record and going 5-3 in conference play. The Bobcats wrapped up the regular season with a record of 9-11 and 4-4 in Big Sky play. When the two squads met earlier this season in Bozeman, the Wildcats came out on top by a final of 4-3. Freshman Tuan (Ken) Minh came through with the clincher on court six to bring the 'Cats to victory.
Weber State enters following a 4-0 sweep of Eastern Washington on Senior Day. The 'Cats made quick work of the Eagles on a day that Matteo Savio and Elyes Marouani were honored as seniors. The Bobcats come into the match in Phoenix fresh off of winning a grueling match in the Brawl of the Wild against Montana. The five hour, 20 minute match ended with the Bobcats taking down the Grizzlies.
