'Cats kick off season opener with a 1-1 tie against Utah Tech

Wildcat soccer officially kicked off the season with a 1-1 tie against Utah Tech on August 15 at Wildcat Soccer Field.Â
Ali Swensen scored the lone goal off of an assist from Sayler Schlosser at 27:18.Â
The 'Cats finished the match with 14 shots, seven being shots on goal. Swensen and Sammie Sofonia led the squad with three shots a piece and two shots on goal. Schlosser also had three shots with one on goal.Â
The Trailblazers tied the match up in the second period with a goal from Bre Koscielski off of an assist from Adele Faller.Â
The 'Cats will hit the road to take on San Diego State on Aug 18 at 1 PM MST. The game will be streamed on the Mountain West Network.
