9/18/2024 9:00:00 AM | Women's Soccer

The 'Cats are back in action and set to take on instate foes Utah Valley on September 19 at 7:30. Weber State currently sits at 1-6-3 on the season following their 4-2 loss against No. 9 Utah State on September 15.

Ali Swensen and Lily Blum both found the back of the net off of unassisted goals. Swensen scored the 1-1 equalizer in the first half and Blum gave the 'Cats the lead in the second.

The Wolverines are currently 4-4-1 on the season and are coming off of a 3-0 victory at Gonzaga on September 15.

The 'Cats hold the all-time record against the Wolverines at 6-1, but most recently fell 0-3 in 2021.

Swensen currently leads the squad with five goals and two assists, totaling 12 points on the season. Sayler Schlosser has six points off of two goals and two assists, and Blum and Amanda Caswell are tied for third on the squad with four points from two goals each.

Time in goal has most recently been split between all three of the 'Cats goalies. Maya Cordova and Annika Franz each played 45 minutes in the 4-2 victory against North Dakota State. Cordova didn't face any shots against the Bison and Franz recorded three saves and allowed two goals.

Hadley Harris was the 'keeper for all 90 minutes against the Aggies and recorded four saves.

The match will be streamed on ESPN +.

The 'Cats will be back at home on September 22 to host the University of Wyoming at 1 pm.
