Women's Cross Country Excels in Split Squad Races

The Weber State women's cross country team competed in two meets on Friday. WSU raced at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in Springfield, Oregon, and at the Utah State Invitational in Logan, Utah.Â
The Wildcats took seventh place in the Bill Dellinger Invitational, scoring 204 points. Audrey Cazier led the Wildcats, placing 36th at 21:26.77. Hannah Bailey was the next WSU runner at 21:34.71 for 40th place.Â
Lydia Felix posted a time of 21:44.12 for 46th place. Elin Hagelin placed 56th with a time of 21:53.64. Hadlie Ballard rounded out the top five in 61st place at 21:59.22.Â
The Wildcats claimed second place and recorded 43 points at the Utah State Invitational. Saga Hagelin ran unattached and placed first with a time of 17:55. Hailey Day was the first attached runner to finish at 18:09 to begin the scoring.Â
Maggie Featherstone placed 12th with a time of 19:19, quickly followed by Elayna Loveridge in 13th at 19:21. Lauren Thornley was on their heels, finishing at 19:28 for 15th place. Brecklyn Bugnet wrapped up the top five Wildcat finishers at 19:32 in 18th place.
The Wildcats now look forward to the Big Sky Championships on November 1 in Bozeman, Montana. Following the Big Sky Championships, the NCAA Mountain Region Championships will be held on November 14 in Salt Lake City, Utah.Â
