Wildcats host Roos Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.

Weber State and Kansas City meet for the first of two games this season.
• Weber State continues its homestand with a Saturday afternoon matchup with Kansas City.
• The Wildcats and the Roos will tipoff at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at the Dee Events Center in Ogden. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and the ESPN app with Tony Parks and former Weber State head coach Joe Cravens calling the action.
The WSU radio broadcast will be on 103.1 FM with Carl Arky on the call.

• Saturday's game is the third of four straight home games for the Wildcats. Weber State is 2-4 overall on the season. The Wildcats hosted two games in the Junction City Jam last week in Ogden. WSU beat Campbell 91-85 on Wednesday and had a tough 74-73 loss to UT Arlington on Saturday.
• This is the first of two games against Kansas City in the next few weeks. The two teams are playing a home-and-home in the same season and will meet again on December 10 in Kansas City.
Weber State's next four games will be against teams in the Summit League. In addition to playing Kansas City on Saturday and December 10, Weber State will also play two games in the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge. WSU will host Oral Roberts on December 3 and play at St. Thomas on December 7.
• Through six games, Weber State leads the nation in 3-point field goal percentage defense. The Wildcats are allowing opponents to shoot just 19 percent from 3-point range this season, the best in the country through six games. WSU has allowed three or fewer 3-pointers in four of the six games this season.
• WSU is also first in the Big Sky and 14th in the nation in rebounding, averaging 45.5 rebounds per game.
The 'Cats are also 19th in the nation in fastbreak points at 20.2 per game.
• Weber State has five players currently averaging in double figure scoring. Trevor Hennig (15.2), Jace Whiting (13.7), Nigel Burris (10.5), Viljami Vartiainen (10.5), and Tijan Saine Jr. (10.3), are all averaging at least 10 points per game through the first six games of the season.
• After using four different starting lineups in the first five games, the 'Cats have had the same starting lineup in the last two games. Only Tijan Saine and Malek Gomma have started all six games so far this season.
• Weber State leads the Big Sky in field goal defense, 3-point defense, and rebounding. The 'Cats are also second in the conference in scoring offense at 87.7 points per game.
• The Roos of Kansas City enter Saturday's game at 1-5 on the season. They started the season with a 80-74 win over Evangel, but have since lost five-straight games, including four on the road. They lost at Southern Illinois, home to Iona, then at Texas, at TCU, and at Lindenwood.
• Kansas City was 13-20 overall and finished eighth in the Summit League at 4-12. This season the Roos were picked to finish sixth in the preseason coaches poll. Kansas City junior Jayson Petty was named to the preseason All-Summit League team.
• The Roos are coached by Marvin Menzies who is in his fourth season at Kansas City. Menzies is 41-62 in his four seasons with the Roos. He spent nine seasons as head coach at New Mexico State and three years as head coach at UNLV. He has won 287 games in his coaching career.
• This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools.
• The Wildcats are coached by Eric Duft who returns for his fourth season as head coach and his 20th season overall at Weber State. He spent 16 seasons as an assistant coach under Randy Rahe before becoming the 10th head coach in WSU history in May 2022. He has been on the coaching staff for over 600 games at Weber State, more than anyone in WSU's history.
• After Saturday, Weber State will play two games in the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge next week. The 'Cats will host Oral Roberts on Wednesday, Dec. 3, then play at St. Thomas on Sunday, Dec. 7.
The game at St. Thomas was originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6, but has been moved to Sunday, Dec. 7 at 12 p.m. Central time, due to a scheduling conflict at St. Thomas.
