• Weber State hosts Portland State Saturday afternoon at the Dee Events Center.
• The Wildcats and Vikings will tipoff at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in Ogden. The game will be televised on ESPN+ and the ESPN app with Tony Parks and former Weber State head coach Joe Cravens calling the action.
The Weber State radio broadcast will be on 103.1 FM "The Wave" with Carl Arky and former Weber State standout and Big Sky MVP David Patten on the call.

• Weber State is 9-19 overall and 3-11 in conference play with four conference games remaining before the Big Sky Tournament. The Wildcats are coming off an 80-77 loss to Sacramento State on Thursday night.
Portland State is 16-11 overall and 8-6 in Big Sky play, currently third in the league standings.
• WSU sophomore Viljami Vartiainen had two career-highs in Thursday's game against Sacramento State. Vartiainen scored a career-high 24 points and knocked down a career-high six 3-pointers. It was his second time scoring 22 points, both coming against Sacramento State, and his 12th time scoring in double figures this season.
In Big Sky play, Vartiainen is averaging 10 points a game and has 33 3-pointers. Over the last eight games, he is averaging 13.9 points a game with 3.3 3-pointers per game.
On the season, he is averaging 8.4 points per game and ranks fourth in the Big Sky in 3-pointers per game at 2.0. He has made 56 3-pointers on the season, the third most of any player in the conference this season.
• Weber State senior Blaise Threatt added 20 points on Thursday, to go along with a career-high eight assists, six rebounds, and three steals. It was his 11th time reaching 20 or more points this season, including each of the last five games. Over the last five games, he is averaging 26 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
In Big Sky games, he is averaging 21.6 points. 6.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
Threat leads the Wildcats in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and minutes played this season. He is now second in the Big Sky in scoring at 19.3 points per game. He leads the Big Sky at 2.0 per game and also ranks second in minutes played, after playing all 40 minutes on Thursday night. Threatt is also fourth in the Big Sky in assists, fourth in assist to turnover ratio, and fifth in field goal percentage.
He now has 2,041 career points in 139 career games, which included three seasons at Division II Colorado Mesa and the last two at Weber State. He ranks 25th among active players in all divisions of the NCAA in career points, and has scored 846 points in 58 career games over the last two seasons at Weber State.
• WSU freshman Trevor Hennig has scored in double figures in four of the last five games as he finished with 10 points on Thursday night. Hennig is averaging 8.9 points per game in Big Sky games.
• Portland State enters Saturday at 8-6 in the Big Sky, third in the league standings. The Vikings are coming off an 82-74 loss at Idaho State on Thursday night, prior to that, they had won three of their previous four games. PSU is 5-9 on the road.
The Vikings lead the Big Sky in field goal defense, turnover margin, steals, and blocked shots, and they rank 14th in the country in blocks at 5.2 per game. They also ranks second in the conference in scoring offense and 3-point defense.
• Earlier this season in Portland, the Vikings beat the Wildcats 74-56. PSU never trailed and held the Wildcats to 35 percent shooting. The Vikings outrebounded the Wildcats 43-30 and scored 50 points in the paint. PSU had five players in double figures. Blaise Threatt led the 'Cats with 22 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
• Weber State holds a 46-20 all-time series lead over Portland State, but the series is 5-5 over the last 10 games, including earlier this year.
In games in Ogden, Weber State is 26-4 all-time and has won three straight. PSU's last win at the Dee Events Center was in February 2020.
• Weber State returns to the road for the final time in the regular season next week taking on Eastern Washington on Thursday and Idaho on Saturday. The final regular season game and final home game will be on Monday, March 3 against Northern Colorado.
