SUGARLAND, Texas – Weber State shot a three-round total of 907 to finish the HCU Colin Montgomerie Invitational in 10th place as the tournament wrapped up at Sweetwater Country Club on Tuesday.
The Wildcats opened the tournament on Monday with rounds of 289 and 312 before closing with a final-round 306.
Ty Anderson shot rounds of 69, 76 and 76 for an 8-over par total of 221 to tie for a team-best 22nd place overall.
Matthew Wilson and Bobby Kincaid each joined Anderson in the top-35 with the pair tying for 24th place at 12-over par 225. Wilson shot rounds of 76, 76 and 73, while Kincaid carded rounds of 69, 78 and 78.
Cormack Goecke (75-82-79) finished in a tie for 66th place with a total of 236, and Luke Smith (84-84-80) shot 248 to finish in 78th place.
New Mexico Junior College took home the team championship, shooting a 14-over par total of 866, finishing two shots ahead of second place Abilene Christian.
NMJC was led to the title by individual medalist Elias Pettersson, who shot rounds of 71, 68 and 71 for a 3-under par total of 210 for a one-shot victory.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Mar. 31 and April 1 as they compete in the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Maricopa, Ariz.
