Wildcats Finish 22nd at Wyoming Cowboy Classic

CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Weber State men's golf team shot rounds of 294, 302 and 300 for a three-round total of 896 to finish in 22nd place at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, which wrapped up on Tuesday at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
Long Beach State won the team title, shooting 827 to finish 14 shots ahead of second-place Iowa State. San Diego and Wichita State finished tied for third at 843.
Weber State was led by Bobby Kincaid, who shot rounds of 72, 72 and 76 for a 4-over par total of 220 to tie for 55th place. Kincaid totaled 11 birdies over the 54-hole event.
Cormack Goecke shot 72-76-75 for a 7-over par total of 223 to tie for 81st place, while Ty Anderson tied for 88th place at 8-over par 224 behind rounds of 71, 74 and 79.
Matthew Wilson opened the tournament with back-to-back rounds of 80, but bounced back in the final round with a 74 to finish at 234 and in a tie for 114th place.
Dean Browne shot rounds of 79, 81 and 75 for a total of 235 to tie for 117th place in his collegiate debut for the Wildcats.
Long Beach State's Charlie Forster took medalist honors with rounds of 67-65-64 for a 20-under par total of 196, finishing 6 shots clear of the field.
