GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Weber State shot a program-record 7-under par 281 in the final round to hold off three charging teams, winning the Bobcat Desert Classic team championship on Wednesday at the Golf Club of Estrella.
"This was a great week for the girls," said WSU head coach Sara Hogue. "They played so solid all three days, but today the way they battled and competed was so special. It was so fun to watch and compete with the teams we played with today. I'm super proud of this team. To get two wins in a season is amazing and we are excited to be back down here next week to compete for a championship."
The Wildcats final round came on the heels of rounds of 288 and 289 for a 6-under par total of 858, which tied a program-best, set back in September of 2023 at the Timpanogos Collegiate.
Idaho and Montana State entered the day just one shot off the lead, and both programs went into red figures to make a run at the Wildcats.
