LOGAN, Utah - Behind a huge offensive explosion in the final four innings, Weber State secured an 11-7 comeback victory over Utah State this Tuesday afternoon.

After falling behind early, the Wildcats showed resilience, racking up 19 hits to snap a mid-game deficit.

Utah State struck first in the second inning with a solo home run by Erickson. The Aggies continued to extend their lead to 6-0 in the third inning.

Raina Navarro then provided relief for Weber State's Joslynn Veltien. Navarro threw two scoreless innings in the fourth and fifth to halt Utah State's momentum.

The Wildcats' comeback ignited in the fourth inning as Taegan Smith jump-started the rally with a solo home run to center field. Weber State continued to chip away, adding a run in the fifth to make it 6-4.

Momentum shifted in the sixth and seventh innings, as the 'Cats plated three runs to take their first lead of the game, 7-6. Weber State broke the game open in the seventh inning with a four-run surge, thanks to a three-run home run by Apollonia Maldonado.

Cali McCraw earned the win in relief, pitching the final three innings.

Weber State will face No. 4 Montana in the first game of the Big Sky Tournament on May 4 at 9 a.m.
