GREELEY, Colo. – With eyes on the next phase of the season, it's time for the Wildcats to put the non-conference schedule behind them.

The Weber State University women's soccer team heads out on the road to kick off Big Sky Conference action, with the Purple and White set to take on Northern Colorado on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Jackson Stadium in Greeley, Colo.

On Sunday morning, Weber State (1-7-0) will face North Dakota at 10 a.m. MT

Northern Colorado (6-3-0) comes into the Big Sky season with the league's best overall winning percentage. The Bears, however, have dropped their last two matches on the road, falling 2-1 to Wyoming and 2-1 to South Dakota State.

The all-time series between the Wildcats and Bears stands at 5-5-3. UNC has won the last three meetings and is on a five-match unbeaten streak in the series. Weber State's last win over Northern Colorado was a 2-1 road win in overtime during the 2011 season.

North Dakota enters the week at 2-3-3 overall and will face Idaho State on Friday before hosting the Wildcats. The Fighting Hawks opened the season 2-0 with wins over North Dakota State and Western Illinois, but are on a six-match (0-3-3) winless streak since. UND drew Northern Iowa 1-1 on the road on Sunday in its last outing.

Weber State leads the series with North Dakota 6-0-0, and has outscored the Fighting Hawks 18-3 in those six meetings. In the Wildcats' last trip to Grand Forks, the series saw its only one-goal result when North Dakota scored in the final seconds of regulation before the Wildcats scored in overtime to pick up the 3-2 victory.

After this week's action, the Wildcats will make their home Big Sky Conference debut against Portland State on Sept. 29.
