'Cats close out 2018 with New Year's Eve game at Idaho

Weber State is back on the road to finish 2018 when the 'Cats play at the University of Idaho Monday afternoon. The New Year's Eve game at the Cowan Spectrum will tipoff at 2 p.m. Pacific time (3 p.m. Mountain time) and will be streamed online for free on Pluto TV 242 and on WatchBigSky.com

• Weber State is 7-5 on the season and opened Big Sky play Saturday afternoon with an 84-72 win at Eastern Washington.
• Weber State shot 53 percent from the field in Saturday's win.
• WSU freshman guard Caleb Nero scored a career-high 19 points, including 17 points in the second half.
• Wildcat junior Cody John also had 19 points in Saturday's win and junior guard Jerrick Harding added 18 points.
• Idaho is 3-9 overall and has lost five straight games. The Vandals opened Big Sky play with a 72-55 home loss to Idaho State Saturday.
• Road teams won all five games on Saturday in the opening of league play.
• The Wildcats hold a 54-24 all-time series lead over Idaho, but the Vandals are 4-2 against Weber State since rejoining the Big Sky in 2015.
• Weber State is 21-17 all-time in games in Moscow but have lost the last three since Idaho came back to the Big Sky.
