Weber State wins one drops one in Oregon

Weber State softball split a double header Friday afternoon. WSU defeated Toledo 15-6 and then later fell to Oregon 9-1.
After the first inning of play against Toledo, the two teams were tied 1-1. The second inning went scoreless between the two teams and the third inning is when the Wildcats found fireworks.
In the third inning Weber State was able to get five across off of five hits. In the fourth inning Weber State drove one run across. In the fifth inning Weber State got four across and took an 11-1 lead. However in the bottom of the fifth inning Toledo drove four across to postpone a Wildcat win.
Weber State finished the seventh inning with four runs across and pulled out a 15-6 victory.
In the second game, Weber State fell to Oregon 9-1. In the top of the second inning Molly Horne and Ashlyn Visser started the it off with back-to-back singles. Sadie Blacker hit a single to center field that scored one run.
Oregon put up seven runs in the fourth inning and followed that up with two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Ducks a 9-1 win in five innings.
Weber State is now 11-12 overall on the season and will take on Bryant and rematch Oregon tomorrow in the second day of the Oregon tournament.
