'Cats head to Gulf Coast Showcase for three games

• Weber State men's basketball heads to Florida for three games at the Gulf Coast Showcase Monday-Wednesday. The games will be held at the Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida. Â
• All games will be streamed online for a fee at flohoops.com. Radio broadcast will be on 1430 KLO with live stats at WeberStateSports.com.Â
• The Wildcats are 1-2 on the season. WSU opened the year with a loss at Utah State and a home loss to San Diego, before beating West Coast Baptist 130-50. That Wildcats set several school records in the win.Â
• Senior Jerrick Harding led WSU with 23 points in Tuesday's win. Harding is the Big Sky Preseason MVP.Â
• Weber State head coach Randy Rahe is in his 14th season as head coach of the Wildcats. Rahe is the Weber State's and the Big Sky Conference's all-time leader in coaching victories with 267 career wins.Â
• The Wildcats were picked to finish second in the Big Sky preseason media poll and third in the coaches poll.Â
• Weber State returns to the Gulf Coast Showcase as former tournament champions. The Wildcats won the tournament in 2015.Â
• This is Weber State's sixth-straight season in a preseason tournament.Â
• The Wildcats will open the Gulf Coast Showcase on Monday against Wright State. WSU will then play La Salle or Murray State on Tuesday and face Drake, Miami, Northeastern or South Alabama on Wednesday.Â
