Wildcats back in action hosting Westminster Tuesday

• After nearly a two week break, Weber State is back in action and back home hosting Westminster College Tuesday night at the Dee Events enter. No spectators will be allowed but the game will be streamed online on Pluto TV 1054 and WatchBigSky.com and on the radio on 103.1 FM "The Wave".
• Weber State beat Adams State 88-60 on Nov. 25 at the Dee Events Center. WSU shot 46 percent from the field, knocked down 10 3-pointers and was 28 of 32 from the free throw line. WSU's next game, Nov. 28 at Dixie State was canceled due to a possible positive COVID-19 case, that turned out to be negative.
• Senior transfer point guard Isiah Brown had a great debut for WSU, scoring a career-high 26 points in 29 minutes of action. He was 7 of 14 from the field, knocked down three 3-pointers and was 9 of 10 from the free throw line. He also dished out a game-high four assists and added four rebounds and one steal. Brown transferred to Weber State this summer from Grand Canyon. He also played two seasons at Northwestern.
• Two other senior Wildcats scored in double figures in the win over Adams State. Cody Carlson, another senior transfer, started the game and had 13 points on 4 of 5 shooting and was 5 of 5 from the free throw line. Senior Michal Kozak, playing in his 97th career game at Weber State, scored in double figures with 10 points and also grabbed four rebounds and had three assists.
• Weber State is one of 23 teams in the nation that has only played one game so far this season.
• Westminster is 2-0 on the season. The Griffins are coming off back-to-back wins over MSU Denver and Colorado Christian. This will be their third Division I game against a Utah team. They lost 108-59 at BYU and 79-71 at Utah Valley in exhibition games.
• This will be the ninth game ever between the two schools, with Weber State holding an 8-0 all-time record against the Griffins, including a 5-0 record in Ogden. This is the first meeting since November 1999 when the Wildcats beat Westminster 75-60 behind 22 points and 16 rebounds from Harold "The Show" Arceneaux and 19 points from Eddie "The Thrill" Gill.
• After Tuesday, the 'Cats will be right back home on Saturday, Dec. 12 hosting Utah State. That game will begin at 2 p.m. and will be broadcast on KJZZ TV and Pluto TV.
