Wildcats Searching For Big Sky Title As Season Nears End

It's simple. If the Weber State Wildcats win their next two games they'll be the outright Big Sky regular season champions. What isn't so simple is conquering the teams that sit in front of them.

This season, the Wildcats, Northern Colorado Bears and Montana Grizzlies have each been as good as anyone in the conference - this weekend WSU will have to go out and show that they are the best of the bunch.

Of the three teams, WSU is the hottest and they have a three game winning streak to show for it after responding with dominance after a hiccup against Northern Arizona when they traveled down to Flagstaff, AZ. They've scored at least on goal in each Big Sky contest but more importantly they've scored at least two in all but two matches and are winners of seven of their last nine matches.

The Wildcats leading goal scorers are Morgan Furmaniak (5), Taylor Slack (5), Hailey Price (2) and Lily Webster (2). They've also received a goal from the likes of Yira Yoggerst, Amy Kenney, Sadie Newsom, Alexis Simpson and Lauren McConnell.

Kaytlin Bradley and Mekell Moss each will get a start in the box this weekend which has been a constant trend for them throughout the season.

On Friday, the (9-6, 6-1) Wildcats will battle against arch-rival (9-5-1, 5-1-1) Montana and then close out the regular season against (8-7-2, 6-1) Northern Colorado. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
