Wildcats run at Silver State Collegiate Cross Country Challenge

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Weber State women's cross country team competed very well at the Silver State Collegiate Challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 1st. The women's 6K race was hosted by USA Track & Field--Nevada, and was held at the Craig Ranch Regional Park.Â
The race featured many ranked schools, including BYU (3rd), Boise State (13th), Northern Arizona (26th), Washington (8th), Air Force (27th), and Utah (18). Weber State finished fifth with 123, just ahead of nationally ranked University of Utah.Â
"I am very pleased with how the women competed today," said women's head coach, Paul Pilkington. "It was a difficult field with a lot of ranked teams and All-Americans, but we ran really well as a team and had some great individual performances."
Summer Allen finished in 9th with a time of 20:17.0, Billie Hatch finished in 11th at 20:23.7, Bailey Wall finished 33rd at 21:44.0, Rylie Lusk finished 34th at 21:44.9, and Bailey Winter finished 36th with a time of 21:57.5.Â
The Weber State women's cross country team will continue their spring 2021 season at the Big Sky Championships on February 27th. The competition will be hosted by Weber State at the Riverside Golf Course in Riverdale, Utah.
