Wildcats head to Pocatello, Idaho to take on Bengals

OGDEN, UT - The Weber State women's soccer team will travel to Pocatello, Idaho to take on the Idaho State Bengals in a pair of matches on April 2nd and 4th.
The record between the Wildcats and Bengals is currently 12-8-5, with the away record sitting at 7-4-2. The last time the two teams matched up was in the fall of 2019, with a 0-0 tie. In the 2018 season, the Wildcats defeated the Bengals 5-3 in Pocatello. Weber State has scored a total of 31 goals against Idaho State.
The Bengals are currently 0-5 in the spring 2021 season, and 0-4 in Big Sky Conference play. The team is coming off a tough weekend at Northern Arizona where they picked up two losses; 1-2 on March 26th, and 0-2 on March 28th. Idaho State has scored one goal this season, and has taken 18 shots. The Bengals are a young team, composed of 14 freshmen.Â
The 'Cats are 2-3-1 overall, and 1-2-0 in Big Sky Conference play, and are coming off a 1-1 weekend against Southern Utah. On Friday, March 26th, the Wildcats defeated the Thunderbirds 1-0, with a goal from freshman, Yira Yoggerst. The second game, played on Sunday, March 28th, turned into a heartbreaker when the Thunderbirds received a penalty kick that gave them a 1-0 lead. Weber State was unable to convert any of their 15 shot opportunities, and picked up their second loss of the season.Â
Weber State has scored four goals this season, coming from Jasmine Lotey, Kinsley Napoli, Taylor Scadlock, and Yira Yoggerst. The Wildcats have taken 60 shots, with 38 on frame.Â
