'Cats knock down 13 3-pointers to beat SUU 92-84

Seikou Sisoho Jawara tied his career-high with 25 points.
CEDAR CITY - Weber State knocked down a season-high 13 3-pointers and had four players in double figures to remain in first place in the Big Sky standings with a 92-84 win at Southern Utah Monday night.
Seikou Sisoho Jawara tied his career-high with 25 points and knocked down five 3-pointers to lead the Wildcats.
It's the fourth straight win for the Wildcats who improve to 14-5 overall and 7-1 in Big Sky play.
How it happened
SUU jumped out to a seven-point lead early in the game before a big Wildcat rally to end the first half. WSU ended the half on a 9-1 run over the last three minutes and held a 44-35 lead at the break. The 'Cats shot 52 percent from the field in the first half.
The Wildcats started the second half on a 14-3 run with four 3-pointers in the first 3:19 of the half to extend the lead to 20 points.
Southern Utah got as close as five points with 5:34 to play before a 7-2 Wildcat run pushed the lead back to 10 points and the 'Cats hung on for the win.
Numbers to know
Weber State shot 52 percent from the field and made a season-high 13 3-pointers, finishing 13 of 30.
Sisoho Jawara was nearly perfect en route to tying his career-high with 25 points. He was 8 of 9 from the field, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range. The five 3-pointers also tied a career-high and he dished out five assists.
Senior Koby McEwen added 21 points with three 3-pointers and dished out a season-high six assists, along with two steals.
Dontay Bassett had his Weber State career-high with 18 points. He was 7 of 11 from the field and knocked down three 3-pointers.
Dillon Jones had his 10th double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Weber State faces two more road games this week. The Wildcats will play at Northern Colorado Thursday night at 6 p.m. in Greeley, then play at Sacramento State Saturday night.
