Weber State Men’s Tennis Falls To Portland, 6-1

Portland, OR - Weber State men's tennis lost to Portland, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center.
The Pilots took the early lead by securing the doubles point with victories at the first and second positions. Doubles partners Connor Kruger and William Zulch were defeated 6-3 by their opponents and Elyes Marouani and Jordan Coutinho fell short 6-2. Sebastian Buxman and Matteo Savio had their doubles match left unfinished.
In singles play, William Zulch gave WSU their brightest result of the day with a victory at the No. 4 spot. Zulch posted a hard-fought 7-6(5), 7-6(10) win over Portland's Nikolas Tvedt.
The Wildcats would lose in straight sets at the remaining five positions of singles play, allowing the Pilots to clinch the 6-1 victory.
