Wildcat Cross Country Finishes 2nd at BYU Autumn Classic

Weber State men's cross country finished second with 42 points as a team at the BYU Autumn Classic on September 8.

The Wildcats finished in front of Salt Lake Community College, Westminster College and Utah Valley University with four runners finishing in the top 10.

Peter Visser led the 'Cats with a 4th place finish and a time of 19:41.0, Kevin Kirk placed 8th with a time of 19:48.2, Taylor Knight finished with a time of 20:07.1 and placed 9th and Bronson Winter placed 10th with a time of 20:18.1.

"Our goal into the race was to work well as a team and to be ready to respond to a fast pace in the second half of the race," head coach Corbin Talley said." I thought the guys did a great job staying calm early – even against the #3 the NCAA."

The 'Cats are set to travel up to Pocatello and compete in the Idaho State Invitational on September 22.
