Peter Visser named to the All-Conference team

Wildcat Cross Country recorded a third place team finish with 68 points at the Big Sky Championships in Pocatello, Idaho on November 1.

"I was proud of the way the guys ran today," head coach Corbin Talley said. "They ran well as a team, and fought hard against some very good squads from NAU and Montana State."

Peter Visser led the squad with a fourth place finish and a time of 23:22.4 and was named to the Big Sky All-Conference team. Visser's finish is Weber State's top finish individually since 2021.

"Peter has an outstanding race. It was nice seeing him compete with some of the best runners in the country," Talley said.

Ty Davis was the next 'Cat to cross the finish line in 14th at 24:16.6, Wesley Kallgren finished 15th at 24:16.6, Taylor Knight recorded a 19th place finish at 24:40.3, Evan Harris finished 20th at 24:44.6 and Hanokh Gailson finished 21st with a time 24:46.0.

"Ty Davis stepped up big for us today as well. And we had a fantastic redemption race from Taylor Knight, who has struggled the last couple of weeks, but was a solid fourth man for us today," Talley said. "I was also pleased with Evan Harris, he was the number four freshman in the race."

Tanner Rogers finished 24th at 24:56.5 and Kelton Gagnon finished 27th at 25:07.2.

"Overall, each one of our guys gave gritty efforts, it was a really great team effort," Talley said. "Hopefully, we can be even a little better in Reno in a couple weeks and give ourselves a shot at top 10 in the mountain region."

The Wildcats will next compete at the NCAA Mountain Regionals in Reno, NV on November 15.
