Game One - Weber State: 6 Montana: 5
- It was a shaky start to the game as the Griz earned the first run of the game in the top of the first inning.
- However, that lead was short lived when Kiaira Smith doubled to left center allowing Mia Rushton to find home plate after she had advanced to second earlier on an error made by Montana.
- The score was tied 1-1.Â
- A big single by Montana's Sweyer to right field brought in two RBI and the Griz went up 3-2 in the top of the second.
- Good defense by Weber State allowed no runs for Montana in the third inning.Â
- A Makayla Donahoo RBI double gave the Wildcats the 4-3 advantage.Â
- Taking the lead and running with it Donahoo and Tori Rey both scored off of wild pitches and the 'Cats were up 6-3 to end the bottom of the third.Â
- With bases loaded for the Griz and two strikeouts on the board in the top of the fourth, pitcher Brooke Hatfield got the Wildcats out of a jam when she struck out Montana's Stockton and ended the inning.Â
- Hanging onto the lead, Brooke Merrill ended the game in favor of the Wildcats. She pitched five innings, and recorded three strikeouts.Â
- Rushton led Weber State going 3-for-3 at the plate. She totaled two runs for the Wildcats.Â
Game Two - Weber State: 2 Montana: 0
- It was all the Wildcats in the second game of the day.
- Wildcat Mia Rushton found home plate and got the 'Cats on the board after Abby Grundy reached on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the first.
- To earn the second and final run in the game, Grundy ran home off of a Taegan Smith single to left field.
- The Griz remained scoreless throughout the entirety of the game and Weber State finished with the victory 2-0 and their second conference game win.
- Cali McCraw pitched a complete game allowing only two hits and recording two strikeouts. She improves 4-1 on the season.
- Rushton went 1-for-3 at the plate with one run. Grundy went 1-for-2 at the plate and recorded one run and one RBI for the Wildcats.Â
