Wildcats drop contest to Broncos

The Wildcats go 0-3 on the weekend at the UVU Tournament.
- Boise State found themselves with the 6-0 advantage over Weber State quickly in the top of the first inning.Â
- Taegan Smith ran home off of a Abby Grundy triple to right field and Grundy brought in a run after Eva Richardson doubled to center field getting the Wildcats on the board 6-2 in the second inning.Â
- Action for the 'Cats didn't stop there as three more runs were brought in during the third and fourth innings.Â
- Unfortunately, the Broncos added seven more runs throughout the game to close it out 13-5 in five innings.Â
- Joslynn Veltien took the loss (0-4).
- Taegan Smith went 3-for-3 at the plate with one RBI and one run for Weber State. Abby Grundy and Eva Richardson both went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Â
The Wildcats return to the diamond on Wednesday, Mar. 13 for a game against Utah Valley at the Wolverine Softball Field. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
