The Wildcats travel to Oregon for a three-game series against the Vikings. Games will be played at the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex with first pitch Friday at 2:00 p.m. (MT).

This will be the 45th all time meeting between the Wildcats and the Vikings. In the last game between the two, Portland State won 7-1 in Ogden. The Vikings, hold a 12-5 series lead in Portland over Weber State. Currently, Portland State is 14-16, 3-0 on the season. Last season, the Vikings went 18-27, 6-9.

Kiaira Smith leads the Wildcats with a batting average of .352. Smith has recorded 31 hits, 11 runs and 17 RBI on the season. Six players make up the freshman class for 2024. Pitcher, Joslynn Veltien from Frederick, CO and catcher Mariyah Delgado from Herriman, UT. Sienna Solis a MIF from Gilbert, AZ, Sammy Gallegos an IF/OF from Magna, UT, Emma Bingham a OF from St. George, UT, and Kiaira Smith from South Jordan, UT also join the Wildcat squad.

Senior Stars
Weber State has three seniors returning for the Wildcats. IF/P Brooke Hatfield, OF Mia Rushton, and MI Makayla Donahoo. Last season, Donahoo played in 26 games and started in 24 for WSU. She hit .170 with a .189 slugging percentage and a .228 on-base percentage. She had 26 putouts and 51 assists for a .906 fielding percentage. Rushton played and started in 44 games, had 13 runs and 27 hits, had 110 at-bats and three RBI for a .300 slugging percentage. Hatfield pitched in 19 games last season for a total of 41.2 innings.
