Wildcats set to host Roadrunners and Bison

Ogden, UT - Weber State soccer will host the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners and the NDSU Bison this weekend as they officially open Wildcat Soccer Field for the 2025 season.
The Wildcats come into the match after going 1-1 on their Oregon road trip, concluding with a 3-2 victory over the Oregon State Beavers for the first victory in the Kyle Christensen era.Â
The 'Cats broke through with 3 goals in 10 minutes at the beginning of the 2nd half. Sayler Schlosser, Brynlee Meyerhoffer, and Lily Blum got the 'Cats on the board and then into the lead in Corvallis. Â
The Wildcats limited the Beavers to only 2 shots on goal in the match and outshot Oregon State 24-15.
The team will host CSU Bakersfield in the home opener of the 2025 season on Thursday, August 21st. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. Streaming is available on ESPN+, and live stats are available at weberstatesports.com.
This will be the 3rd time that the Wildcats and Roadrunners have matched up in their history, with the Roadrunners taking the first two matchups. CSU Bakersfield comes into Ogden at 0-2 on the season after suffering losses to California Baptist and San Diego State.Â
It will be youth jersey night at Wildcat Soccer Field as everyone 14 and under will gain free admission to the match if they are wearing their youth soccer jersey. Additionally, there will be a free autograph session with the players following the final whistle.
On Sunday, the 'Cats will play host to the NDSU Bison at Wildcat Soccer Field. That match will kick off at 11:30 a.m. Streaming is available on ESPN+, and live stats are available at weberstatesports.com.
This will be the 5th time that the two schools have played each other, with the Wildcats leading the series 3-0-1. The two teams matched up last year with the 'Cats winning 4-2 in Fargo, North Dakota.Â
The first 100 fans to the match will receive a free pair of Weber State sunglasses.Â
