•Weber State softball is continuing the 2020 season with a five game weekend at the San Diego Classic. 

•Weber State will take on CSUN, San Diego State, San Jose State, UCLA and North Dakota. 

RECORDS & STANDINGS
• Weber State is currently 5-10 overall on the season.
• The Wildcats are coming of a 9-4 loss to No. 4 Texas.
• WSU was picked first in the Big Sky Preseason polls.
• WSU is currently #3 in the Big Sky Standings.

A CONSISTENT SPOT
Weber State has had four players hold the starting spot in the same position all season

Seniors Landi Hawker, Courtney Pestka and Takesha Saltern have controlled the outfield for WSU.

Faith Hoe has filled a spot in the middle infield in all 15 games.

ROOT ROOT FOR THE HOME TEAM 
• Weber State is 81-66 overall at the Wildcat Softball field.
• The Wildcats are 60-25 at home under head coach Mary Kay Amicone.
• WSU finished the home season with a 9-1 home record in 2019.

SEASON OPENERS
•Weber State softball has a 5-6 record in season opening games. 
Mary Kay Amicone is 4-3 in season openers in her time at WSU. 
•WSU is now on a one game winning streak in season openers. 

TWINNING
IS WINNING
Weber State sophomores Faith and Lauren Hoe are twins. The duo are 1 of 22 sets of twins playing in Division I softball on the same team in 2020.

"MVP, MVP, MVP"
• Senior Takesha Saltern is returning for her final season. She's maintained a level of consistency at that plate that earned her the title of Big Sky Player of the Year in 2019.
• She is currently hitting .358 on the season with a .453 slugging percentage and a .393 on base percentage.
• She's recorded 19 hits (highest on the team) from 53 at bats including two triples and one double.
• Saltern is also 3-4 on stolen bases.
• Currently sitting at No. 19 in the nation in triples.
• She's also top 100 in total hits with her 19 putting her at #68.

LAST SEASON WITH
 WILDCAT SOFTBALL 
• Weber State is coming into 2020 after one of the most successful and historic seasons in school and Big Sky history.
•  WSU claimed the Big Sky Regular season title for the fourth consecutive year and it was the third time WSU won the Big Sky Tournament.
• Weber State is coming off a 27-21 overall record and finished 14-2  in Big Sky play.
• Last year was the Wildcats third appearance in the NCAA Regional tournament.
• Weber State made history becoming the first school in Big Sky history to win a game in the NCAA Tournament.
• Weber State is returning eight letterwinners from last season and seven starters while adding 10 newcomers.
Mary Kay Amicone returns for her seventh season as head coach and brought back with her assistant coaches Kristin Delahoussaye and Kevin Jensen. She also welcomed Addie Jensen as a new student-assistant coach this year.
