Wildcats suffer two defeats on second day of San Diego Tournament

LA JOLLA, California - Weber State softball suffered two losses on the second day of the San Diego Tournament falling 6-3 to Boise State and 11-5 to UCSD.Â
Weber State fell to the Boise State Broncos to begin the second day of the San Diego Tournament. Jade Curiel (0-3) was credited with the loss as she faced nine batters and pitched 1.2 innings.Â
Weber State finished the game with eight hits, surpassing the Broncos five. Neither team committed any errors.
In the Wildcats second game of the day, the 'Cats recorded six hits and one error to the Triton's nine hits and three errors.Â
Raina Navarro (0-2) took the loss against UCSD as she pitched 2.1 innings and faced 17 batters with one strikeout.Â
Leading the Wildcats offense, Jordan McMahon went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Riley Whalen also contributed an RBI, going 1-for-2. Kiaira Smith completed the effort, hitting a double and totaling an RBI on her 1-for-3 performance.
